Nobody in the world celebrates the peach fruit like the Americans do. An annual Peach festival is very common in the parts of North And south Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Arizona Florida, and lot more cities across the United States. Each place has its own way of celebrating the peach festival. They do a lot of things with the peach fruit right from cakes to puddings, to drinks, and delicacies. People come from different places to witness the most celebrated fruit of the United States of America.
The Lexington County Peach festival happens in a big way. It is usually a great way to get introduced to the Lexington County Peach, and it is held at the beautiful Gilbert Community Park. The peach festival begins at 9 am and there will be a peachy fruit contest for the kids and there will be lots of dishes which would be made from peaches. The judges taste every dish and declare one best peach dish. Followed by the parade which is the most interesting and fun part of the whole festival. The whole day is spent eating, dancing, singing and holding various other contests merrily.
The Lafayette peach festival is celebrated a little differently by having people from all over display the peaches that were grown by them and the judges declare the best grown peach. It is more serious type where the quality of the fruit gets judged and after which the fun begins. There are more than 4500 servings of the peach fruit which can be purchased. And also there will other activities like dancing and drinking and lots of enjoyment the whole day of the peach festival.
There is a peach festival held at the Knotts Island every year and it usually takes place on the weekend so that many families from the island can participate. It is held around the first week of July on the grounds of Ruritan Community Park. There are more places and cities across the United States which has peach festivals in their own fashion. The more important thing about any peach festival is it improves the scope for community living and let’s people living in one community come and meet each other. This also provides a great platform for interaction for the people living in a common society.
